My Generation

Description

London of the 60s is a celebration of disobedience, a city painted in previously unimaginable colors. Music and fashion capital, where the gods are The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, and the goddesses are Twiggy and Marianne Faithfull. Rock and roll and free love shook the class system, and for the first time in the history of British cinema, a hero with the working background of Michael Caine and his characteristic rebuke could appear on the screen. For the first time, an actor could proudly speak proletarian Cockney and be a superstar. This voice, known from "The Ipcress Dossier" and "Elfie", sounds behind the scenes of "My Generation" - a very personal film, which stars Paul McCartney, David Bailey, Mary Quant and Roger Daltrey. Unique interviews with the heroes of the "British Invasion", the best music and London seen through the eyes of Michael Caine, a man who survived the 60s.
