The Farewell

Description

The writer of Chinese origin lives in Brooklyn, but is very attached to her grandmother, who remained in her homeland. It suddenly turns out that the grandmother is sick, she has not long to live, but they do not want to upset her and decide to keep silent about her quick death. And so that all members of a large family have time to say goodbye to the dying woman, they tell her that everyone is going to the wedding of her grandson, who is not actually going to get married.
