El hoyo

Description

Goren agrees to participate in some kind of experiment and soon regains consciousness in an almost empty room on level 48, with large rectangular holes in the floor and ceiling. There are two people on each level, and it is unknown how many levels there are. The floors are connected by a common well, on which a platform with food is lowered once a day, and the lower people are, the less chance they have to eat. Every month there is a rotation, and residents of the upper levels can find themselves at the very bottom, and vice versa. Since he was allowed to take one item with him, Goren chose a volume of Don Quixote, and his neighbor grabbed a large knife.
