Description

The outbreak of the Second World War. France is exhausted and ready to surrender, but General de Gaulle is trying to resist this. He argues with the government, negotiates with Churchill, appeals to the people. De Gaulle becomes the voice of the Resistance, enlisting in this only the support of his beloved wife.
