Recently widowed Alma Mahler, a well-known socialite, seduces the young artist Oskar Kokoschka. A small sexual adventure turns into a whirlwind romance. Oskar considers Alma his muse, who serves his male fantasies more than reality. Alma herself is also an artist - a composer.
