In these circumstances, the fight for justice turns into a grueling test of endurance and dignity. Will Alice be able to tell the truth and save her family? Read more This chamber drama, which takes place almost entirely in one room, is sustained by a compelling cast. At the heart of the story is not only a custody battle, but also the complex issue of how justice responds to family and domestic violence. When a system seeks to maintain neutrality, does it not become complicit? For French director Charlotte Deviller, this is her feature debut. While working on the film with Arnaud Dufet, she drew on her own experience: Charlotte is a nurse by profession and has worked with teenagers and families who have become victims of sexual violence. The film is distinguished by careful, balanced optics and does not cross the line of exploiting the subject. The tape entered the list of the highest rated films on Letterboxd in 2025.
